Merry (day after) Christmas
Wow, it's been almost eight months since I last wrote one of these things. I guess quite a bit has happened during these eight months.
- Worked as a teacher at Sylvan Learning Center in Westerchester
- My sister, Hanna, got married
- Got to preach at church for the first time in August. (they haven't asked me to preach since then, so hmmm.....)
- Took a road-trip to Miami. Listened to the World Series on the radio. (Cubs in 2004!!!)
- Moved in with a family from church
- Started my job working at Hostway.com about two weeks ago.
- I proposed to Angela on December 20th. Yippeee!!!! :)
Well, why did I decide to write again after eight months in hiatus? Well, today is the day after Christmas, and while most people do not have to work today, I am sitting here in my desk at work with a cup of coffee, and there is just not much to do. You see, I work in the technical support department, and there isn't a whole lot of people to whom we can offer support. Yup, it's going to be a s-l-o-w day!
For some weird reason, this Christmas really snuck up on me! There was a service at church on Christmas Eve and I completely forgot about it. I mean, I COMPLETELY had no idea that it was Christmas Eve. That's weird, huh? Life seems to be going by faster and faster, and it feels like I'm always just one step behind trying desperately to catch up. And just when I feel like I've caught on, it seems to go even faster. I remember as a kid wishing that the days would go by quickly, but now I wish that there would be just one more hour in the day. Not so much to play, or even relax. But just to have one hour when I can process life. I think this is one of the ways that you know that you're getting old. :)
